Sunshine And Meditation
I aim to get some meditation into my day – most days. Today was a particularly good day to meditate. Not because there was a lot going on or my head was full of ideas, thoughts, and things to do, but simply because it was a gloriously sunny morning.
It was a clear sunny winter morning. Still cold, but bright and warming, as long as you stayed indoors and let the rays of the sun wash over you through the window.
Around 8am it was too good to miss. Sunshine and a 20 minute guided meditation, sitting in a comfy chair facing the rising sun was calling me.
I found a guided meditation and popped in my earbuds, closed my eyes, a deep breath to get started and I was away. I felt the warming sun on my face. The warmth seeping into my chest and arms. The calming sounds of a distance sea melodically lapping the beach and the gentle voice from the guided meditation had me slip into a restful state.
Only problem was I woke up about 90 minutes later!
Can you have too much of a good thing???
